What's Your Theme Song?

Happy Sunday!
I ran a glorious, albeit a slow, 3.5 miles on the treadmill, listening to some U2. It was awesome for me. I haven't been able to run more than 2 miles without feeling totally bad for a while now. And maybe, the running mojo is back.

I have been watching Ally Mcbeal on Netflix for the past few days. While it is a little "out there," especially since the show was done in the 90s, there weren't many explicit "jump on a man/woman" scenes. Sure, they suggested it, but it was left to your imagination what happened behind closed doors. I don't know where I am going with this. But I wished more shows these days would do this.

Anyway, Ally has a theme song. And when I was running the last half marathon with Christine, she and her boyfriend asked me about my theme song. My running theme song would be "All Star" by Smash Mouth (a.k.a. The song from Shrek). I'm still thinking about my theme song for life.

"Hey now, you're an Allstar, get your game on, go play..."
"Only shooting stars break the mold."
"You never know if you don't go. You never shine if you don't glow."

What is your THEME SONG? Do you have a theme song for running and a theme song for life? Do share!

  1. Lately I've been listening to a song (not sure what it's called) that has a chorus "You can do it. You can do it. You are not a lu-lu-na-tic"

  2. I don't really know that I have a theme song but there are certain ones that speak to me from time to time. All Star is a good one!

  3. I love the idea of a theme song! For me it changes all the time. Certain songs will resonate and really keep me going on runs and then two weeks later it's a new one. :)

  4. All Star! Good one. I don't know if I have a theme song for running... there are a lot of ones I like, including Eye of the Tiger and Beautiful Day (U2). We'll call those my running theme songs, though Beautiful Day could be one for life as well.

Hope you had a great weekend!

  5. Lol when I saw your post say theme song I instantly thought of Ally McBeal. I used to love that show, as crazy as it was. Lately I really like the Part of Me by Katy Perry.

  6. Allstar is totally my theme song, and I watched Ally McBeal when it originally aired! I just came across your post when I was looking up Smashmouth since they are playing an event near me soon (https://www.facebook.com/events/208539465917062/).
