Tuesday's Rambling.

Getting back to being active after being almost-sedentary is difficult. I almost have an internal struggle between the body and the mind daily.  Today, I called myself out and got out of bed at 6:30 a.m. to do a run/walk. It wasn't easy peasy. I upped the incline to 2%. I watched/monitored the stupid heart rate thing. I ran to the bathroom twice. BUT it IS time to step up to the plate and do what I ought to be doing. Do what I used to love doing. Do what is GOOD for my body. I am also trying to do some modified dips on a chair to some-what participate in Christine's 100X Challenge.

I still do walks with Paddy Wag during the afternoons. Sometimes, when we didn't walk too much, we would dance. Well, it is more like me jumping and hopping and swinging my leg over her while she tries to take a swipe at my leg.

Though I am not making line graphs/chart of my calcium intake, I have been keeping a close eye on my calcium intake.  I strive to at least meet 80% of my daily requirement. Milk. Ugh! I am not totally loving plain milk. But I have to do what is best for the body. Chocolate milk is delicious. But I don't want to add unnecessary sugar. I have been almost caffeine-free since March 05, 2012 (a day after my  last half marathon. I have slipped probably 2 times.) And I almost pretty much Splenda/Equal/fake sugar free since March 05.

I sure hope to share some good news apart from all these whines, whines, whines.
And today, I saw a bottle of my favorite moscato sitting in the fridge and, man! I want a sip of that sweet, cold wine so badly!

Gonna make an effort to do the run/walk thing tomorrow morning too. A little by little. They also call this "baby steps."

I am taking the baby steps to getting back to being active. To doing what I LOVED doing.
