Drifter.

I have been reading and came across this nugget of truth.

"We don't fall of the track. We drift. We drift a little every day and by the time we realize it, we are off the track."

Isn't this so true? We eat that one potato chip, then, a bite of that candy your kid didn't finished because you didn't want to waste it. And before you know it, you are hovering over a chocolate cake for the next few days.

I thought about this today because my willpower was wavering. But I told myself, "I am not a drifter. I don't drift."

This Is Why She Is One Of My Favorite Runners.

This is why I like Kara Goucher.

Just a few snippets of what she said in this interview.
"... stop making excuses for myself."
"I feel so scared ... because I care."
"What am I doing? All these opportunities are passing me by."
"I just had to make a choice."
"I have to face the fact that I am not doing everything I can do. I am not working as hard as I could be working."

I believe we can all apply this in life, not just running.
Are you doing everything you can do?
Are you working as hard as you could be working?
Stop making excuses for yourself.
Go do it. Go care.
