Shakin' Things Up.

Happy Good Friday.  I didn't have to go to work today but ended up working on reports and IEPs and more of that paperwork good stuff.  After a morning and afternoon of sitting down and typing, I had enough and decided to go for a run to shake things up a little.  I haven't been running 2 consecutive days since I first had my knee trouble several months that had put me out of commission for several weeks. So, I was just going to take this run easy and not push it.

Pre-run Snack.  It was about 5 p.m., and I decided to finish the remaining of that Snicker marathon bar since the last time I ate was about noon.  Yummy and off I went.

Stats & Thoughts & Happenings.  It was an awesome run! I didn't go far, just 2 miles, but this was the first time I have ever sustain a 10+ minute for 2 miles. I was excited.
Mile 1 = 10:39.80
Mile 2 = 10:31.97
Total: 2 miles in 21:13 minutes. Average pace: 10:36/mile.

The wind was brutal again today.  It blew sand/dust into my eye and I practically ran with my eyes closed at some point. Thank goodness it happened on a stretch of road where there aren't much traffic.
And I am still not too sure about running in shorts. I may be a little conscious about this but they do seem to ride up and I find myself having to tug and pull during my run.  Maybe it wouldn't ride up if I lose some weight? I like capris better.

Plan.  I am going to rest the legs tomorrow and try to do a 10-miler on Sunday.  I'm a tad worried, and will try not to force it.  We'll see how far I can go.
