I was running late this morning and wasn't confident that I would be able to fit a run in and be back in time to get ready for my day. So, instead of rushing, I spent my time eating breakfast and drinking soy milk and doing crossword puzzles. Love it. Nonetheless, a "hello ... you gotto run today" thought lingered pretty much throughout my day.
I got some time to run errands - post office, bank, grocery store and because I wore my workout outfit and my running shoes, I was able to pop into the Y and got on the treadmill for a quick 2 miles. I had planned to do about 5 today, but I told myself that if I run faster than usual - which is at a 9:00+ min/mile pace, I only needed to do two. :) That was quite a good run for me. I had the treadmill set at 0.5% incline. I quite enjoyed my quick run.
After a run, I swam and lounged around in the pool with some family. It was a great afternoon.
Total: 2 miles in 19:37 minutes. Not too shabby, eh?
I did a 2-miler this week too! It's been a while since I ran anything under four, and it was fun. Way to go on your quick two miles!!
ReplyDeletehaha...I do the same thing...I figure a faster shorter distance = longer, slower. Funny that I am not the only one. :)
