Registered.

I'm on a roll.
I just completed the registration form for another 5K to be held in Dumas, Arkansas, on July 24.  I think I will be running with my boyfriend's tween brothers. I really really really really want a sub-30:00 minute 5K so, this shall be another stab at that.

I'm going to do all I can to run faster and stronger. The heat/humidity got to me a little when I ran the 5K this past weekend, so, I figured that I should train in the conditions I will be running in. So I will be doing runs outside and not just on the treadmill.

Aneta is training for her marathon, starting today and it looks like she has a monster plan! :) Stop over there to give her some encouragement and kudos! I'm also looking at doing a half marathon, hopefully by the end of this year. I'm eyeing RnR in Vegas but I am not too sure because none of my running friends are gonna be there. So, I'm gonna have to plan this one right.  I know in February, my running friend from school, Judith, is planning on doing one in New Orleans. So, I'm going to go ahead and do that with her. Running and racing with someone makes it more fun!

I may head out later for a run at the YMCA. I have about 5 more miles to go before I hit 50 for this month. :)

  1. Thanks for stopping by my blog :) And yes, it was all true :(

You should totally sign up for RNRLV, I have heard nothing but good things about it, and RNR races are always a blast and well organized. Plus, having such a big goal like a half is such good motivation! You can do it!

  3. I second that about the RNR races being a lot of fun! Meanwhile, you have the right idea about taking some of your runs outside to be better prepared for any heat/humidity nature throws at you on the day of your 5K. Happy running!

  5. Wohoo, great you signed up for another race! It helps me a lot to stick to running once I signed up for a race. You should do the half with your friend, that will be a great experience :)

  6. I agree you should do more runs outside to get yourself prepared for the conditions you will be running in.

Great that you have signed up for another race!
