Wednesday Run

Yeah ... not too good with blog title today.

I didn't make it to the Y this morning for a run. Sleep took over. But when I woke up and prepped to go to work, I threw in my capris, tank top, sports bra, socks, and running shoes, as well as my Garmin into a bag and put it in my vehicle. Yeap. Instead of going home to change and waste time, I will head right to the Y after work.

I did it! It was kinda weird wearing regular work clothes and heels and a face with some residual makeup to the Y. But a girl gotto do what she has to do, right? So, I ran 4 miles in 42:26 minutes. That's pretty decent. The first two miles were a tad slower than the last 2 miles. Tomorrow, I am going to run 5 miles + 0.5 mile that I "owed" since I didn't run the mileage needed yesterday. And I'll have 10 miles this weekend. I am actually excited because I want to run a double digit mileage. Weird! Let's keep the fingers crossed that the weather will be cooler and more arid because we have a case of hot and humid again in SE Arkansas.

All right. This girl here has gotto go grab a bite to eat. :)
Have a wonderful rest of the week.

  2. Once the weather cools off a bit, I'll start packing up all my stuff and running right after work. I'm with you -- I always feel weird running with makeup on. I keep thinking I should use a makeup remover wipe before I run, but it seems like too much effort. Props to you for getting your run done today :)
