One. Two. Three

1) Cooking for one is not an easy feat.  Without running through the doors of Subway/McDonald's at every single meal, I picked up some Lean Cuisine thingy from the grocery store. Tasty. But the serving size is more for one child instead of one adult. Probably takes 3 Lean Cuisines to make a meal for me, which of course, after that, the meal wouldn't be quite as lean.

2) This is my third night with Paddy Wag. She is quite an awesome dog! Today, she rode with me to a town 45 minutes away and back. She sat still on my lap the entire way. I finally got her kennel set up. For the past 2 nights, she has slept in the mud room in the house because it was freezing cold.  Of course, she would cry and yelp at night, and I would take her potty. Almost like a baby, right? Well, tonight, I set her kennel just right outside the mud room (outside the house) since it is much warmer than it was earlier this week. I held her for a little bit and patted her to sleep. Then, I set her in the kennel and she just lay there like a sweetie. She loves interacting with people and enjoys a lot of attention.  She also likes shoes!  I am just so happy to have her.

3. Tomorrow, Ms. M will be running with me in the a.m. That would be her first outside run since her surgery.
She goes slow, but she is steady. So, we'll see.

Time for me to go to bed now. Night Night, Y'all!

  1. Cooking for one. I FINALLY found the secret. I make something that I really enjoy, eat one helping when I make it, then freeze the rest in individual servings. My freezer is FULL of black bean soup, green chili casserole and breads. It makes lunch much easier and I always have something healthy and yummy.

But of course that doesn't stop me from indulging in Panera!

  2. I Love the lean cusine southwest quesadilla! Since I've been trying to eat a majority of fresh produce I haven't had one in a few weeks but I have some in my freezer. I might just have it tomorrow I'm totally craving it!

  3. Awwwwww! I bet Paddy is just too sweet! You two are lucky to have each other. I like reading about your new pup. :) We totally need more pics of her!

I totally agree about the Lean Cuisines! My Kroger has a healthy section, and there is even some healthy frozen stuff. The portions are enough to feed a normal person, and the meals are organic and/or all natural. My favorite brand is Cedar something. I haven't had one in a while, but now I totally want one!

    Have a great run!

  6. I just had a lean cuisine for lunch! LOL. But it requires some healthy in-between snacking... cause, yes, I'm still starving after!
