A run, A dedication, A lot of yummies.

Yep. Your eyes aren't playing tricks on you. It is 3:34 a.m. now, and I am up, quite awake.
I meant to write up a post last night, but oooh, my head hurts and nothing was going to stop me from laying in a cold, dark, quiet room.

So, I met up with Ms. M and Mr. R for my 2nd run of the year. I wasn't too sure about the run. We ran my least favorite route - not because it was longer or hillier. While Mr. R and Ms. M were talking about horses, my mind drifted off to many-a-things.

1. I have to dedicate my Tuesday run to Aneta, who just celebrated her 28th birthday.  Happy birthday, Aneta. I know you said 2.8 miles, but I ran 3.4 miles (42 min).

2. Buttercup is sick. She hasn't been eating and she hasn't been too excited. Just not her usual self. I could tell that she's not feeling too hot. Took her to the vet on Monday and found out that she has a fever, has diarrhea and irregular breathing. The vet gave her a shot and kept her overnight. Today (Tuesday), they are going to keep her. Vet thinks she probably has pneumonia. Anyway, Buttercup is an old old dog, but a good dog nonetheless. Lets hope she'll be all right.

3. I love juices. Remember one of my 2011 goals is to take a multivitamin daily? Ha! Of course I DIDN'T do that. But this (Tuesday) morning, I got my juicer out and made myself a yummy glass of juice. So, I do get some brownie points, right?  SO, what's your favorite juice combination?
In it goes: Pineapple, apples, oranges.
And out it comes: A glass of yummy goodness.
Cheers to you, Aneta!

4. I'm also trying to steer away from fast-food joints. So during lunch, I headed over to Subway. You know you have been to Subway one too many times ordering the same ol' sandwich if the older Subway man and his wife know exactly what you order and instinctively know what vegetables you pile on your sandwich.
Wanna guess what kind of sandwich and toppings I have going on there?

So, talk to me.

  1. I'm sorry about Buttercup. I hope she will be ok very soon. I have an older dog as well and I know how you feel!

I recently bought an automatic orange press and drink 2 fresh pressed oranges every morning . Yummy!!

  2. I hope Buttercup can shake this thing and is feeling better fast!
Yummy juice! The extent of my juicing though is adding a splash of orange or cranberry (if I'm feeling racy) to my protein shake. I do love pineapple juice though.

  3. Poor Buttercup, hope she can get over that.

  4. awww thank you! its been so craazy that i even have not done my own run!

but thank you for running for me! :)

    hope buttercup gets better soon!

  5. I'm guessing that's a veggie and cheese with all the veggies they have.

Hope your dog is feeling better.

  6. Aww..poor Buttercup! I hope she makes a wonderful recovery.

And that juice looks yummy. My favorite for the juicer is orange, ginger and carrot. Yum!

  7. Just found your blog and am checking it out.

I'm so bad with taking a multivitamin. I swear I'll be consistent and then forget about it for a month or two.

  8. I hope Buttercup is okay!

I didn't know how good an example it was to stop mid lesson and look out the window. But I do want my students to appreciate their town and state.

  9. Butercup! What a loving name. Not a pitbull I'm guessing.

The sandwich - I dunno. Looks like a tomato, and thinly-sliced red onion - some green stuff like a pickle.

BTW your music for the new year is very deep and reflective ... I liked you more when you were playing that mindless California stuff and everything was all peachy! Now you're acting like a grown up with important thoughts on your mind!

Is this some ploy to tell us we are all getting wiser?

Thanks for reading! Do leave me a comment or two. They keep me motivated.
