Magic Mile

I got out of bed this morning at 5:30 a.m. and headed to the Y. Not too shabby. It will take a little getting used to and getting back into the habit.
Nothing was really on taps for today's run.
I planned to do my weekend run today since I might be out of town.
The plan calls for 3 magic miles.
Honestly, I didn't know what I was doing. I ran a mile at a comfy pace, sustained a mile at a slightly faster pace, and then kinda returned to my comfy pace mile. The Magic Mile pace was about 11 min/mile.
I finished 3 miles in 33 minutes or so.

In general, the run was uneventful.
Nothing special.
I talked to two ladies. And they seemed kinda nice. There's something about those people who are up early. They are just happier, chirpier people.

I am not going Christian on you. But I came across this and I thought it's kinda good.
"However I may consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me."

Have a wonderful weekend!

  1. Wow, I'm impressed you are planning to do your long runs on Friday! For me, Friday is the toughest work out day, my mind is looking forward to the weekend and my motivation is low. You rocked it! :)

  5. You haven't met me early in the AM, at the gym. I am definitely not happy or chirpy. ;)
