The Eleven Random Q/As.

Candice over at I Have Run tagged me for a few weeks ago about this 11 random things about me post.

This is SO running-related because a runner/blogger tagged me. :) Thanks Candice for lifting me out of a blogging rut.

First, we have the rules.

1. Post these rules.
2. You must post 11 random things about yourself.
3. Answer the questions set for you in their post.
4. Create 11 new questions for the people you tag to answer.
5. Go to their blog and tell them you’ve tagged them.
6. No stuff in the tagging section about "you are tagged if you are reading this." You legitimately have to tag 11 people.

Here are my 11 random things…

  1. I am beyond excited that my little brother is getting married in less than a month.
My future SIL, Alicia, is a super sweet and beautiful girl. I am so glad they found each other.
Singaporeans get their bridal pictures done before their wedding day, in a wedding dress that is not THE actual wedding dress. I think those two will make some cute babies!
2. I live for power naps these days.
When I get home from work, I will, inadvertently, fall asleep either at my desk, on the couch, in bed.
Today, I had to pull over by the road and take a nap before I continue my drive back to the house.

3. I have been watching Ally Mcbeal episodes on Netflix. I used to watch it when I was in my early/mid teenage years but didn't quite comprehend all of it.
Now, I KNOW.
Like I really KNOW.
I really can connect and relate.

4. I have pretty much cried at every single episode.

5. In our household, our meals are multinational/multiethnical (Is that even a word?)
Today we had Indian food - curried potatoes, tilapia in marsala spice, saffron rice.
Yesterday, we had chicken fajitas. Last week, I made Chinese wantons/dumplings.
We also like basic spaghetti, Cajun pasta, chicken and dumplings and chicken pot pies.

6. I think I have figured out how to get clean clothes out of the laundry baskets and into their respective places. When I take the clothes out of the dryer, I take it to the room and fold it there.
As I fold the clothes, I put it in the drawers/hangers where it is supposed to be.
I love my system!

7.  I miss my dad. I mean, I miss my mom too.
But I particularly feel more for my dad these past few weeks.
Funny. I have never thought I would ever miss my dad. But I do.
8. Last night, I had craving for ramen noodles. So I made it. But that made me miss my dad even more.
My dad makes the best, most garlicky, peppery ramen noodles.
He used to make it for me at nights when I was younger. We would eat it together.
He never told me he loves me. But I know he does. He shows it all the time.

9. I have been on a cereal kick. I add a 1/3 cup of the right and 1/3 cup of the left. Pour in some skim milk. Breakfast for the champ!

10. I have grammar/spelling pet-peeves.
Example: "You are" is not "your" and you don't "loose weight" but "lose weight."  I don't like people/shops spelling things that should be a "c" with a "k" (such as Kool Smiles instead of Cool Smiles).

11. Lastly, I also have names pet-peeves.
Working with a bunch of kids over the past few years, I have been exposed (and traumatized!) by the names parents give their kids. Some of them have a super-multisyllabic names with spelling that is a mile-long. Some parents name their kids after cars/products. Some of them have names that look like it belong to a MySpace page... with extra "x" and "z".  Seriously, what is wrong with simply "John," "David," "Elizabeth," or "Jane?"
Easy to spell. Gender-specific. Easy to pronounce.

And here are Candice's 11 questions for me.
