Lately And Confession (or Announcement)

It has been quite an interesting, busy, good time since the last post.

Here's what had happened...

My best friend in Singapore adopted a dog and his name is Harley.

My Paddy Wag snoozing the morning away. Yeah. I need to get a new cover for that bed.
But I love watching her sleep. I really want to snuggle up with her!

We celebrated a cousin's third birthday.
Her three-tiered cake is really quite "run of the mill" around here.
Zoey wanted a princess cake with blue, pink, and black. And her GG made this for her.
The blue cake was strawberry inside. The pink cake was butter cake with blue coloring.
And the black cake was chocolate.

Lastly, I have a confession or announcement.

Know why I haven't been running much?
Paddy Wag is going to be a big sister.
I am baking a bun in my oven.

So, this is why I haven't been running much. Between the bigger boobs that bounce that I am completely not used to, to the everytime I run, I feel the urge to pee, to just being so super tired (I literally slept through my spring break), to being sick occasionally - my running seriously has taken a hit!
I am walking/running instead and I am trying to do something like a mile in the morning and a mile in the evening. But because I haven't been too active, it has been hard getting back to the routine. But I am working on it, working on getting back to a schedule. Man! It is not easy! And I am lazy. What's also cool is my baby has already crossed a half marathon Finish Line in March when I last raced.
I am putting on weight. I feel like a blob.
And I miss running 10 miles.
I know that it's ok to keep running during pregnancy but I am choosing to cut down on mileage and intensity and just focus on getting some exercise in, and gingerly bake that bun in the oven till it is ready. I think it is supposed to be ready by Thanksgiving.
We are excited. (And scared.)
I have heard the baby's heart beat.
But, like running, we are just going to put one foot in front of another and keep moving forward.
(Looks like I am getting one major goal checked off my list for 2012!)

  4. Congratulations! That is some big news! I cut way back during my pregnancies too, it was all too weird, the boobs, the bladder getting bounced on. So happy for you!

  5. Congratulations!!!!!!!!! I am so excited for you (though I will admit I suspected this was the reason for your reduced miles) and your becoming a mama. :) Staying active during pregnancy is a good thing, but you also have to know your limits. Can't wait to hear more updates!
