Three Things Thursday

1. Two More Days to my first half marathon. I don't know what to think. I haven't ran at all this week after the 10 miler on Saturday. I have been resting the back and stretching instead. Butterflies and moths are wreaking havoc in my belly now.

2. The Web site says the half marathon will be easy with some gentle rolling hills.  The final instructions/e-mail they sent out yesterday said it is going to be a challenging course with many hills. What say you? I think Mile #3 seems kinda scary.
3.  With the stretching I have been doing, I realized that I am SO NOT FLEXIBLE! I might as well be a crickety, rickety, ridgety 90+ year old woman. I'm so ashamed.

  2. You're going to have so much fun and feel so accomplished at the end I swear! :)
    AND
They kind of lied at first, with saying "gentle rolling hills" That is a setting on a massage chair, not a course discription! But you're going to do super well! :)

  11. Never trust the web-sites, for them the races are always flat (this is my experience here)! However don't worry, have a smart dinner the day before, take it easy and you will run a great race. Good luck.

  12. 2 days!!! YAY~~~ wooohoooo u will do great.

yes that hill after mile 3 does look a little scary. but take it one step at a time and keep on running. take shorter steps when running up the hills.
and also remember this "HILLS BUILD CHARACTER". This is a sign that I saw during my first half marathon on one of the biggest hills....and it always stuck with me

and if all fails, remember this 'PAIN IN TEMPORARY, PRIDE IS FOREVER!"

i think u r gonna do amazing!!!! good luck, christina. cant wait to read all about it!
