It Feels So Good to Hurt!

Just a quick post! I am excited!

I ran 3 miles on the treadmill yesterday (Wednesday). It was a little rough toward the end.
I felt like giving up somewhere around Mile #2. But I kept going, and kept thinking "how great I will feel when I get done" and "how proud I will be of myself when I get done."
So I kept plugging at it and did it!

I varied the run - a few minutes of 6mph, a few minutes of 5mph, and a minute of 3mph in between to kinda catch my breath.

And I did it!

By mid-morning, I felt my muscles aching. The good ache. The kind of ache you get after not working out in a long while.

AND I LOVE IT!!!!

You see, for a good long time, every time I run (or been on my feet shopping for half a day), my body gets whacky. The last time when it got whacky was back in July 2014 when I went to the zoo in Singapore with my little toddler.  It hurt where I had my emergency C-section and emergency hysterectomy (some 4 weeks later) back in 2012.  It didn't hurt where the running muscles were engaged.
So yesterday, after my run, I was thinking, ooh I am going be in pain again!
And yes, true.... I was hurting but it was my running muscles that were feeling it. Just my running muscles. It aches where it is supposed to be! And I am loving it!!!

Will be stretching today and prepping my body for another run before the week is over!
