Some miles and a vote.

We ran 4.62 miles today. It was slow(took us 58:53 minutes) and I felt like I could have gone a little faster though. Good news is I felt pretty good the entire run. My sciatica-thingy part didn't hurt. My legs felt pretty good.

I have a question for you. 

There is a half marathon on the Oct 23rd. 
I ran my last long run of 10 miles on Sept 26. 
I am thinking about running 10 miles this weekend. And if I come out in one entire piece, I am thinking, what the heck, I'm running that dang half marathon.
(a) Go for it?
(b) I'm CRAZY?


  1. Go for it! You've put in teh training already. Get in a 10 this weekend and you should be golden for the 23rd

  2. Go for it!!! You will be fine, you have a good base :)

    In fact, go for it, then do base training and gear up for a race plan for 2011;-)

  7. go for it! you can totally do it. i don't know if this part is sound advice (given that this is near impossible for any runner...) but maybe you should take it a little easier during the race so you don't aggravate your injury. but you can totally finish the 13.1!

  8. You should definitely GO FOR IT!!! because once it's too late you'll start wishing you'd done it!

  9. Go for it! If you can handle 10, you can handle 13.1 - do it!!!
