I haven't been writing since last week's wonderful half-marathon experience with fellow blogger, Christine. This is mainly because of work and mainly because of I am doing shorter, easier runs. For example, this week, I did two easy run/walk on the treadmill for about 2 miles each. I am trying to modify my running regime a little to allow me some rest time. I do not have any races planned for this year. But I still hope that I will get a 10K race in by December. I will see.
The weekend was great. I spent Saturday sleeping, playing on the computer, and reading. A co-worker asked me to go to the movies but I had to turn her down because I thought I was going on a delivery trip with the boyfriend. Turned out we didn't have to, and while I could call her back and rearrange for a movie, I chose to stay home. And spent time with Paddy Wag. It was a very wise decision.
Sunday was spent catching up on laundry and I promise you I was a super-laundry woman! I think the water heater tank we have at this house is small or too old and there just aren't enough hot water for showers and laundry. I have to time when I shower/laundry. And often times, shower takes precedent over laundry. Thank goodness my clothes are darks. But the boyfriend likes his whites. No wonder we are perfect for each other. I went to a family get-together later in the evening and played with a toddler and a baby. It is amazing how much bonding I can do with a toddler over a thing of ketchup! Apparently I am cool because I love ketchup! The toddler also taught me how to dance like a ballerina. Of course, I had to do silly things with my arms and hands and legs. It made her laughed so hard and she finally resigned to the fact that I may not be as good of a ballerina like she is. Have I already mentioned how much I love my boyfriend's family? :)
So it is back to daylight savings time and I don't really feel like I got cheated out of an hour - probably because I slept too much over the weekend. I can still sleep some more... But tonight, I planned on walking/running on the treadmill to clock in some mileage. And of course, do some planks. I am seriously behind on planks! Ouch Christine! Your challenge is hard!
I have a knack for doing things in untraditional ways. Join me as I go through life in an out-of-sequence way.

Sleeping Beauty
I slept so much that if there were judges, they will make Sleeping Beauty relinquish her title and give it to me.
This entire sleep-capade started on Thursday night when I went to bed like any regular adult.
I slept until 5-ish on Friday and then again at around 8-ish in the morning until noonish. Then about 1 p.m., I slept again in my boyfriend's office on a recliner until 4:30 p.m. So I went home, ran, showered and slept again around 7-ish p.m. until around midnight or so. Then, I was up again working on cleaning my closet and went to bed at around 5-ish a.m. on Saturday until 8-ish and then around 10-ish till 4:30 p.m.
Random afterthoughts....

- I missed the gym's opening hours today, which means, I didn't get my run in today.
- I still feel tired and if I lie down, I can definitely fall asleep again. No kidding.
- I didn't dream at all. None that I can remember.
- I can try running in the heat tomorrow. (even though I really don't want to. How about I postpone it to Monday?)
- Having my first meal of the day - McDonald's. Gee! I know. Don't judge.

I sing the blues
- RAN 3 miles in 34:33 mins. HIT the weights machine and did some hip adduction and abduction - 35 lbs, 12 reps, 3 sets and 80lbs, 12 reps, 3 sets
Did some seated leg curls @ 35 lbs 12 reps 3 sets. - The 4:49 a.m. alarm came too early. I had a rough night sleeping. Something just doesn't feel right and it was a whole lot of tossing and turning and getting anxious about not sleeping enough and then, feeling guilty when I entertained the thought of playing hooky (from running). Nonetheless, I got up.
- The news was on. Thank goodness I didn't have any earphones on to listen to what's wrong with the world. Seems like the whole world is going k-k-krazy! Yeah, how's some depressing sad news to start a Tuesday?
- Tuesdays. I never ever have Monday blues. Tuesdays? Gee..... blue blue blue! I love Wednesdays and Thursdays and Fridays and don't really care for Saturdays because it is just a sad brutal reminder of how close the weekend is coming to an end.
- Gee! I am having a serious case of Tuesday Blues! Sorry folks!
- On a brighter note, I woke up laughing. My bestfriend texted me from Singapore and she made me laughed out loud.
- And yesterday, she woke me up with another text message and made me feel totally excited!!!
- Today, I will log my first 100 miles for 2011.
- I am really trying to love my Nike Tempos shorts......
- Chafing ... sigh ....
- I think I might have runner thighs? Juicy thighs?
